CERTIFICATE IN KERALANATANAM

Certificate Programme in Keralanatanam (CKN) is a six-month Open Distance and Flexible Learning (ODFL) programme designed and developed by the State Resource Centre, Kerala, with the objective of promoting and preserving Keralanatanam as a distinctive classical dance form of Kerala. The programme provides learners with both theoretical understanding and practical training, giving due importance to the philosophical foundations, artistic expression, and performance techniques of Keralanatanam.

The programme aims at skill development and capacity building in Keralanatanam by combining distance learning with compulsory face-to-face practical sessions at designated learning centres. It is intended for learners aged 15 years and above who have passed the 10th standard and are interested in learning Keralanatanam in its authentic spirit. Through structured courses covering the origin, principles, elements, and practical performance aspects, the programme seeks to make this classical art form more accessible while retaining its traditional roots and cultural significance
