The Diploma in Health Information Management Technology is an Open, Distance, and Flexible Learning Program developed by the State Resource Centre, Kerala. It is designed for individuals aspiring to pursue a career in Health Information Management Technology. This programme aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to manage health information effectively.
The program’s comprehensive curriculum, encompassing health information technology, medical terminology, and revenue cycle management, will prepare students to meet the current and future demands of the healthcare sector. As the healthcare industry continues its rapid expansion, this course will play a pivotal role in addressing the critical need for qualified health information professionals.
The primary goal of establishing a comprehensive and industry-recognized programme in Health Information Management is to enhance the skills and employability of healthcare professionals, address the shortage of a skilled workforce in the healthcare sector, and support hospitals in meeting accreditation requirements. By doing so, this course will contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare services in Kerala.
Specific Objectives:

- To cater to the increasing demand for Health Information Management professionals in hospitals, healthcare organizations, and related industries.
